Just a short post, but there is much to be thankful for on this day of Thanksgiving.

At this time, I am still unemployed. I realize I have been given much and there is much thanks to be had. As I sit here in the middle of Island Park, Idaho with no cell phone coverage and ponder. I am thankful for the in-laws I have, who have accepted me and have included me as their family. I am grateful also to sit in this cabin and to discuss my mission with Grandma Betty Bower. We love her, and thankful the Lord has allowed her to be a part of my life.

Grandma Betty and I have many different conversations. Sometimes we speak about the same thing we have already talked about in previous conversations, but I enjoy the bonding times. We often talk about politics. And by often, I mean we talk quite a bit about politics and we share a lot of the same opinions and beliefs. One other thing we talk about, which I treasure, is our gospel beliefs and understandings. I will miss these opportunities when Grandma passes on.

Until next time, I’m out.
